Transformative axes of action

The Raimat Lleida Community Foundation's three pillars of action—Lleida is Regenerative, Lleida is Arts, and Lleida is Social—are transformative in their holistic approach to addressing the region's major challenges: generational change in the countryside, cultural visibility with its own identity, and strengthening the social fabric. They regenerate the land with new opportunities for young farmers; they connect art, gastronomy, and landscape to project Lleida to the world; and they forge community networks with local organizations and new youth leaders. Together, they build a more vibrant, creative, and cohesive Lleida, with a real positive impact.

Lleida is Arts

Culture is a tool for transformation.

The "Lleida és Arts" program of the Raimat Lleida Community Foundation is a cultural platform with local impact and international reach. We believe in art as a driving force for social, economic, and territorial transformation. We are building a new narrative that connects culture, gastronomy, landscape, and young talent, with roots in Lleida and a global perspective.

Why is it transformative?

  1. Because we created the world's first water-positive festival.
The Raimat Arts Festival is not only a high-profile artistic event, but also a pioneering model of sustainability and community impact.

    • Classical and contemporary music in dialogue with nature.

    • Alliances with national and international brands and institutions.

    • Profits allocated entirely to the Foundation's social projects.

  2. Because the territory grows with each new edition.
In 2026, the Aran Arts Festival will be born, a new winter festival in the Pyrenees, with concerts in Romanesque churches and strategic collaborations. It's not just music: it's a celebration of the Pyrenees' environment, history, and hospitality.

  3. Because gastronomy is culture.
With the Taste of Lleida – Catalan Cuisine project, we promote a gastronomic diplomacy based on:

    • Quality, proximity and seasonality of the product.

    • Respect for the territory and fair working conditions.

    • A cultural tale that connects cuisine with the region's rural and creative roots.

  4. Because we support artists from Lleida around the world.
We are creating a support network for emerging and established talent:

    • Residencies and scholarships for sculptors and musicians.

    • Support for artists from Lleida who are projecting the region on a global scale.

    • Partnerships with festivals, galleries, and institutions around the world, such as the twinning with California's Napa Valley Festival .

Culture is not a luxury. It's a tool for transformation.

At the Raimat Lleida Community Foundation, we want young people, artists, and creators from our region to shine. We are committed to a deep-rooted, inclusive, and impactful cultural model, where every concert, every piece, every performance, and every artistic gesture is a door to the future.

What tools do we give to young people and artists?
Visibility, networking, training, resources, and real-life settings. We connect you with the cultural industry, the region, and an audience that believes in beauty as a driver of change.

Lleida is Arts, it's the future. And that future has already begun.

Lleida is Regenerative

There's a future in Lleida. And that future lies in the hands of those who choose to stay today.

The Raimat Lleida Community Foundation's "Lleida is Regenerative" program is profoundly transformative because it focuses on younger generations and connects them with a viable and attractive future in the countryside. Far from being an isolated technical training program, it is an ecosystem of opportunities that seeks to solve real challenges in the region with a vision of positive impact.

Why is it transformative?

  1. Because we're not talking about theory, but about real action. In July, we celebrated the 4th annual tractor driver training program , a commitment to rural employability that has allowed young people with no prior experience to find work on local farms. It's training with a direct impact.

  2. Because the Lleida Alimenta movement has begun to change the rules of the game. We're doing this with pioneering projects such as:

    • Carbon credits linked to regenerative soil management.

    • Measuring water efficiency with technologies that improve crops and preserve the environment.

    • Collaboration with leading companies and innovation centers in the region.

  3. Because Young Farmers' Day isn't just another day. It's the beginning of a new narrative. A space where 30 young farmers and future rural leaders:

    • They connect with professional leaders from companies such as PepsiCo, Acciona, IRTA, Vegga, and Europistachios.

    • They learn hands-on in the field, focusing on soil, water, and biodiversity.

    • They participate in networking sessions and personalized mentoring that open doors to the professional world.

  4. Because we want to solve the biggest challenge facing rural areas: generational change.
It's not just about training, but about motivating, inspiring, and providing real tools. This workshop doesn't just award a diploma; it gives a vision for the future.

At the Raimat Lleida Community Foundation, we are directing our economic and social focus toward the countryside, convinced that it is there that the seeds of a new development model lie. We are committed to a vibrant, fertile territory filled with opportunities for those who want to take root and lead.

What tools do we give young people to keep them from abandoning the countryside?
We give them knowledge, contacts, role models, visibility, employability, and, above all, a sense of belonging and purpose. We connect them with a new paradigm: growing not just food, but also a better future.

Lleida is Social

Strengthen what already works, amplify what transforms

A real commitment to the social fabric of Lleida and the new generations

The Raimat Lleida Community Foundation's "Lleida is Social" program was born with a clear mission: to give visibility, structure, and a future to the ecosystem of social organizations that are already transforming the region. We are committed to local philanthropy, cross-generational collaboration, and promoting a new culture of collective care in the community.

Why is it transformative?

  1. Because we've launched the first mapping of social organizations across the entire province of Lleida. In collaboration with the Horta Sud Foundation and the ESADE research team, we're documenting and connecting the social initiatives that have been working—often silently—for the well-being of people for years.
This diagnosis will be the basis for:

    • Create an open directory of entities.

    • Identify shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration.

    • Design a long-term structural support program.

  2. Because we focus on young people as protagonists of change.
Through the SDG Young Talent Awards , we recognize and promote young people from Lleida who are already making an impact in their communities, in areas such as sustainability, inclusion, mental health, equality, and responsible digitalization.

    • Each young person awarded is supported by mentors and local organizations.

    • The award is not an end: it is a starting point for your projects to grow.

  3. Because we believe in collaboration, not substitution.
We don't come to replace what already exists, but to connect, strengthen, and amplify. That's why we work with parishes, neighborhood associations, women's groups, mental health foundations, educational cooperatives, and volunteer networks.
Our mission is simple: to ensure that no community effort is left isolated or unsupported.

At the Raimat Lleida Community Foundation, we work to build a new model of philanthropy, based on trust, transparency, and co-responsibility. We believe that when a region cares for its people, it flourishes. That's why we invest in people, in the organizations that support them, and in the generations they are called to lead.

What tools do we give?
Collaborative networks, meeting spaces, training, visibility, and shared funding. We want every young person and every organization to know they are not alone.

Lleida és Social is a community, and that community is already underway.
